Why is it so difficult for deserving analysts to break into info sec leadership while it’s handed to other less technical analysts?
State Farm has junky in-house software because management is largely non-technical (you can't effectively manage what you don't understand, much less produce something of good quality if you don't know what to expect!), pays its experienced engineers half of what actual tech companies pay its new graduate engineers (ignoring those peoples' RSUs), and has to hire many contractors to make up for the fact that they're hemorrhaging competent engineers due to the low pay which gives them worse software and costs them even more in the long run
Can we stop trying to be the sillicon valley of central illinois?

Honestly, this company needs to focus more on claims and insurance.
Systems, digital and marketing and service joke continues. Many paid way too much for cookie cutter rhetoric calling it CRM and cloud. A shame

Infosec is gutted from lack of opportunities and poor mgmt, all they do now is straight hire interns from UTD who leave after a year or less.
Who is leaving?
