Creative ways to get people to leave voluntarily

I'm starting to despise this company. Am I the only one who thinks this or has Intel has become more and more creative when it comes to the ways in which they put pressure on employees to leave voluntarily?
It is very obvious what their intention is when the manager has such unrealistic expectations bordering on ridiculous.

I went on sabbatical, came back and given an IR a week later. The guy who covered for me conveniently lived in AZ which is where my whole management chain was located. I got thrown under the bus to consolidate the head count in AZ. That guy who "covered" for me was in AZ. Classic Intel back stab.

One way to cope is analyze what 'expectations' truly pay off and make sense, and which do not. Concentrate on the former and deflect the nonsense. If they let you go, they let you go .. but you won't feel quite so tied in knots. Alternatively, fly the coop, if you can.

If you are venting here and not working with your manager then it is time to make the leap.

Is it the manager or you who has unrealistic expectations? Most likely, the answer is somewhere in between but If the expectations of you are indeed too much, get a new job somewhere else. You’ll have less stress and probably get paid better.
