I won’t get a bonus for the stub year and my manager told me the next bonus payout will be April 2024!! I can’t wait that long!
I believe sales in Pearsons higher education division have dropped in the last 30 quarters.
Such a joke. Stop pretend you're in sales, just pay hard workers decent wages and enough with the BS goal setting. You should see the hiring process these days. It's a complete lazy sh-t show. They'll hire anyone with a pulse.
Why were goals set so high?
A. Management is clueless and can’t forecast sales.
B. They set them out of reach so they didn’t have to pay the sales force bonuses.
the last post was written by a "younger" rep who didn't make her number. many of the reps that did and were also top performers are "older" reps.
Who set these goals? Someone should do a paper on Pearson on how not to motivate your sales reps and drive away your best employees. What a joke! If you are going to have a culture of performance you need enough people who are actually performing. The only people who will be left at Pearson are the sales people that are too lazy to go find a real sales job. That especially goes for the DM’S VP’s, PSS’s and older reps.
"Sales as we know it in this business is gone. Get ready for massive layoffs."
Well no, sales are still quite robust in this industry. Perhaps not at Pearson, but the more nimble competitors are enjoying a kind a gold rush;D
Absolutely pathetic goal setting. Why even bother trying? It’s not like they can fire you for not making goal.
Sales as we know it in this business is gone. Get ready for massive layoffs.
I heard only ONE district made their goal for 2021-2022. One! That's absolutely insane.
Those were goals in the late 90s early mid 2000s. Houston we have a problem.
Oh, folks don't stand a chance.
Terrible performing industry.
With terrible management who couldn't run a profitable lemonade stand.
