All of the agency workers in my department were converted to purchased service last week. For anyone that doesn't know, agency workers go against the head count, while purchased services do not.

Anyone worth their salt will be moving on, leaving Ford with the incompetent chaff.

My LL4 inadvertently made a statement about them making it through this week, so I’m pretty sure something not good is happening next week.

I do know that an email was sent to the service center workers regarding a system test on July 14th and 15th for China for transfer of information databases and at the same time service center employees are in the middle of the test / changes so Jul 26th looking accurate. All databases are being combined for service centers and a special download for everyone had to be completed by July 15th. Some other Jobs from depts have recently gone to India. I think when all is completed the only GSR jobs will be phone due to Language barrier with India.

@dwa+1hIQEiu4 do you really believe that they initiated their “retirement”?
Got a bridge I’d like to sell you…

So it begins indeed.
We all had bets on Kumar being invited to “retire”. Was he crafty enough to shift blame to Toney along with his invitation to “retire”?
Hau seemed like a likely target for “retirement” invitation.

I know of three (3) engineers in PD who are pulling the ripcord (not thinking of, but will) due to the interest rates going up and the effect on their lump-sum. Part of the reduction will most definitely be voluntary. Just my .02.

"There will be hundreds of LL4-LL6 folks following suit."

If you think Ford will let them peacefully retire then you have no idea what went down last time lol.

And.....the first two chips have fallen. Toney and Ta-g are both retiring this year. They are smart to do so, taking advantage of the current interest rates. There will be hundreds of LL4-LL6 folks following suit. There will be plenty of opportunities for the younger folks to backfill these positions. No packages needed to trim the ranks.

Our LL5 and LL6 People Leaders have been really quiet the last 2 months... There has been no talk on back in the office or what next steps might be. Never has it been so quiet.

What happened to June 16th?

I did not hear July 25th but felt like it might be as so many changes taking place so quickly. All service centers left getting a major change with databases and outside vendors. Customers, dealers and vendors asking a lot of questions on what is going on with Ford with so many internal issues, system issues and not just the recalls.

@wwk,

Cut our way to quality! Sounds like a brilliant plan. No matter where the jobs are outsourced the quality issues will not go away.

Well finally! What's taking them so long? We need to improve quality! And to Ford HR and its leaders, cutting is the only way to accomplish that.
