Why are any of you still at Xerox?

Move on already.

Thank you for the level headed and honest response. In a very similar situation as yourself. Can’t say enough about the work life balance

Post from current employee; (not a formate employee, not a competitor, not a troll) I stay for many reasons:

  1. I work with some really awesome colleagues
  2. I have the ability to balance my time at work and time with my family. I also am able to work remote when I need to.
  3. I have a job where I am able to do continuous learning and Xerox enables me with time and industry subscriptions that ensure I can keep up to date with current publications and network with other experts outside of Xerox to continue to grow my knowledge in my field.

I have both educational degrees and current certified credentials that are industry recognized in my field of expertise; so, yes I could find a job with another company. But why would I? There’s no guarantee the next company will provide me with such a great set a colleague’s, a great working environment and the family / work balance.
And yes, my salary is aligned with others in my field with similar level of experience outside of Xerox.

Lol, somebody actually used the word “tyranny” to describe the working conditions?! Yes, I just stepped out of the coal mine to see the daylight for the first time in three months. It was such a beautiful site. GTFO. Let me guess, probably 65+ years old and you had a great time at Xerox until they laid you off because you couldn’t even open up Word on your computer still.

My teams are rocking it in our region. 2nd half will be better than the first and inventory challenges will not be as dire. Looking forward to a great end of year.

Agreed. The scorned exes on here act like their situation is the same as everybody at Xerox. Just because it didn’t work out for you, don’t be jealous. That’s all I could think it is if you haven’t moved on yet. If you really love your new job so much then go do it and stop looking in the rear view mirror. It’s just plain weird or a bloated ego that you can’t put this to rest. We’re just fine over here. Your situation is not ours

I like my job, work with a great team, work 100% remote, and get compensated better than I would anywhere else in my area. Why would I leave?

Because we are still getting paid, and changing job takes effort…

Unless you are not good enough to get another job. In that case, I get it.
