I'm worried every time I hear anything about layoffs, and I guess that's why I'm surprised by how many people here write that they'd like to be laid off. Is it possible that people are so indifferent to losing their jobs here? Isn't it better to leave voluntarily, when you get a better offer?

I have heard the minimum for 15s and 16s is 12 weeks but don’t know if that’s right.
For 15 and 16 it is one week for every year unless you have worked 15 years you get two weeks for every year. You also get prorated bonus. There is also a minimum but I don't know what that is.
What is the severance for 15s and 16s?
Depending on your grade, the severance is a lot of money, so if you’re wanting to leave anyway, it’s not a bad deal!
There IS life after US Bank. After almost 40 years... have been gone nearly 3. BEST company ever back in the day, but like most banks/companies/the world, this is becoming the norm. Don't be surprised... things are moving so rapidly that communication will be-less-than-perfect. Just remember this... worry never changes the outcome of a situation. It's gonna be ok - it's all gonna work out. TESTIMONY :)
