if you hear "product simplification" in the context of a line of business that you support, start looking outside the company.

Consolidation of departments and business units gives T a reason to reduce head count because shortly thereafter, they look at the consolidations and start telling the employees that those groups have too much redundancy, too many employees. We all know what that means!

Alright, then...thanks for that clarification on HR declining the new hire even when a req was open! I'm preparing for the worst, hoping for the best! Best of luck to all of you that think they might be impacted!

Our org had a job req in and after the req closed they went to hire the person and HR said no because of the hiring freeze. We are a growth org, so it was very surprising to hear.
My feeling is a lot of layoffs coupled with a lot of internal changes are right around the corner.
The company wants to make the transition quick because of the cost savings….increasing EBIDTA

My org is not in a hiring freeze since we have a job req opened for another technician. Not sure if that's company wide or just in certain areas of the business.

We’re in a hiring freeze so it’s coming. Buckle up.

By design, you will never know when it’s coming. Any other insight here is nothing more that speculation. It will come when you’re comfortable and least expect it….truth.

After mid-year Quantum ratings are entered, approved and discussed with employees, select business units with redundancies will send notifications. Other business units with open requisitions will be asked to give preference to surplus status, but not required due to relative Quantum ratings. Hope you make it!
