Does anyone know how the class action suit by SRD employees turned out?

I am sure in the SRD employees only got what they would of received if they had not been SRD. The settlement will have been for much more than that, but the lawyers fees would consume that.
Ford knows most employees will just accept the package and move along.
They are hoping to get to 75-85% low cost country salaried workers before too much fuss is made by the released US workers.

The hush-hush nature is because the public sentiment tide has turned on companies cutting older workers and offshoring US jobs. They could easily cease to be a going concern, ergo the continual PR smarm.

If these were class-action suits, they didn't get much. The only ones that win in these suits are the lawyers.

They won, which is good for them (yes, lawyers can cost a lot, but I agree they likely got way more than there separation package….plus lawsuit payouts aren’t taxable by the fees, either) - but is bad for you, cause I’m sure Ford has improved the math formulas used to generate the list of those let go after that debacle ( if I recall, they basically let go/ got rid of an entire department- that was unfortunately for Ford staffed with all people that had on average 20 plus years with Ford, all over 50, and I also think all were at least LL6 grade but did not have anyone reporting to know. Think it was a very specific & specialized task that group performed that went to India).

Undisclosed settlement amount. Though the lawyers were really the ones to make out, the payout probably was way better than the "severance" they affected employees received.

They settled out of court. Documents were sealed.
