Thread regarding VMware layoffs

ETICA

Wonder what would happen if ETICA was flooded with reports that the C-level execs were unethically profiting from the Broadcom acquisition at the expense of the employees and the customers.

I want to stress the point when the deal was announced Raghu mentioned "it was their fiduciary duty", so nothing illegal here, not doing anything about the unsolicited offer could be construed as illegal.

By carrying out their fiduciary duty the exec's are stand to make $MILLIONS. This seems bad but perfectly legal (part of their fiduciary duty).
We minions are the losers here who have put their heart and soul into this company and at the end we may walk away with 2-3 months of severance.

Oh everyone one of those reported will be on the layoff list. You'll make it easy for them to compile the list.

No one cares about ethical/unethical these days. Just look at Musk sleeping with 20 woman and popping out kids left and right. Who cares about ethics? Ethics was for your grandparents, not the current and future generation.

Exactly what is unethical? The board accepted a $61B offer. They are not decision makers in what is going to happen. Nothing illegal here, although it doesn’t feel right, there is nothing to look at here. Signed, CEO
