Front Doors Not Locked

Apparently the front doors to our club are not locked when the last member leaves the store at closing. And it seems that the closing MSS leaves before the rest of the front end people, leaving them on their own till 9:00 pm. This makes no sense to me.

I brought this up several times until I was blue. Our safety is not number one. Until a tv was stolen then it was top priority the doors were locked.

I know for a fact all 3 of our COS have keys to lock the door behind them.

MSL (team lead front end) is not a "key carrying" lead, meaning they do not have keys to the front doors and have to check the keys they carry out and in each day. So they cannot lock the doors, it should be the manager on duty that locks doors after last member. Now the other part, if they are fully staffed and working the block schedule, as directed, their hours should be 12:30pm to 9:00pm, they have responsibilities i.e. tills to the cash machine, checking for over and shorts, CBL's, go backs, cleaning, sweeping, checking lot and vestibule, checking restrooms after maintenance, scan out damages, stock jewelry, etc. If this is happening the MSM should be handling the situation.

I guess people missed my point in the original post, for which I apologize. The person who leaves early and leaves newbies on their own is a front end TL. Cashiers, door greeter is scheduled are usually scheduled till 8:30pm or 9:00pm. They are cleaning and supposed to be doing go backs and such. Why are the doors left unlocked for anyone to walk in after close? The doors should be locked at close after the last member leaves for the safety of the employees.

Add that the manager scheduled to 8pm should lock the entrance doors on their way out of the building, which forces them to stay until their 8:00 pm schedule.

MSS; are you referring to a MSL or manager? If it is a manager, they were probably scheduled 10 to 8, a typical ten hour day and just like everyone else, they were ready to go home. There has to be another manager or key carrying lead in the building who is responsible for closing the building and handling any problems after 8pm.
