I have a job offer which will start in 5 weeks. I'm a G5 engineer btw. Should I start looking elsewhere looking at the current economic conditions?

Just today Intel IT put under new SATG management. Screening for layoffs in IT started and will show up as "redeployments" in October 2022.
HR is showing their presence again.
No layoffs under Pat leadership. Only hiring allowed. So sleep well.
Some of the high rank people told that VCG, CCG starting July last week.
PMs, recruiter, some HR people are in first round of lay off.
I would say maybe early next year
It is unlikely that Intel will repeat the disaster from 2015 - 2016. Layoffs will be ongoing and not called layoffs per se. Employees will be re-deployed, held back, not promoted, re-organized, moved around, etc... i.e. all of the classic management tricks to get people to leave on their own. It is far far cheaper to operate this way versus announcing layoffs.
Already started.
71 hours, 45 minutes.
Getting people off the books by Oct 1 requires layoff list before July 31?
Is July safe or not?
