Intel dulls your technical skills

That's my opinion, that working at Intel dulls people's technical skills. Maybe there are exceptions to whom this does not happen, but I believe they are in the minority?
That is why it is most important to know when to leave this place.

Intel is just a welfare service for the families of brahmin castes. Technical skill is the last thing management is concerned with.

Would have agreed with this in the past, but lately I’m not impressed with the technical skills people are entering Intel with. So there isn’t much to dull.

Intel is so inefficient compared to the competition. Believe me, I’ve worked at Intel and now at a competitor.

You end up learning to do things the slow way at Intel. You end up internalizing that you need way more resources than are actually required.
