We have returned to the office 1-2 days per week as flex workers. Why? In our office almost all are flex workers excluding those who are assigned working in field operations , construction and so forth. Since returning, I rarely see another living person. Add to that I’m the only member of my group assigned to this location as everyone else is nearly 500 miles away. I waste time commuting, start later , end earlier and now absolutely don’t do work on weekends.
When working exclusively from home I could easily start an hour earlier, work later and didn’t mind the couple times per month if necessary weekend work. I was far more productive at home, and it’s the same thing countless other employees are saying. Remember the corporate heads that decided returning to the office was more productive are the same people who told us purchasing Directv and Warner Media was a good idea. They just don’t get it
