Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Care management dept

Has anyone had their turn around time drastically changed from 7 days to 3 days?

We were told this was a dept change for care managers and coordinators. Our team is freaking out because we are already overwhelmed and now our cases will be out of compliance unless all our cases are touched every day.

I feel like they are doing this to our team specifically to get people to quit so they don't have to pay severance with lay offs. This is just a gut feeling.

The expectation since the wellcare take over is that any new member is touched within 3 business days. All of these time tables and metrics and no member care anymore. I know they are pushing people put of the door, but I don't think it is layoff type thing. Wellcare just want the metrics met and doesn't care if the process is the problem, they will blame people, very bad senior leadership in the CM department now.

I am a coordinator and this is a way of letting us know that we are Robots to them and that’s all. It is totally ridiculous the way they treat program coordinators at Centene and Centene management should be called out for this! The pay is ridiculously low for the crazy amount of calls we do for them. Program coordinators are treated like that guy who worked for Burger King for 27 years without missing a day and just getting a goody bag from management. They suck!
