Thread regarding Cenovus Energy layoffs

Glassdoor

Wow! I have never seen so many positive posts on Glassdo0r from HR before! They were busy posting in April and May.

Corrupt and unethical as a company to mislead and deceive people like that

Just stop misleading people. That includes current and future employees. Is that too much to ask Alex?!?

If this company was as bad as you think, it wouldn’t exist.

What a m0ronic thing to say. How old are you?

So many salty people who couldn’t get beyond an analyst role yet figure somehow they should be running the company. Hey, if you don’t like working here, move on. Your low morale is poison for those of us who enjoy making bank and being rewarded for doing a good job. If this company was as bad as you think, it wouldn’t exist.

Perhaps someone can confirm or deny this: I heard that companies who post jobs on Indeed, GlassDoor, etc., have access to a section in their portal that can expedite the removal of negative reviews as they are paying customers.

Also, can confirm that post below about Pembina (small world). I'm still mad! My wife was laid from there in April 2020, and a month or so after the fact she received an e-mail and text from one of her former co-workers asking if she would "leave a good review on Glassdoor and Indeed for the company. It would be appreciated!" No "how are you doing or anything." LOL. They made a co-worker contact her. No, that isn't how this all works sweetheart. Especially after lowballing and jerking around staff with severance. My wife wasn't the only person to experience this, and the company had a big group of internal people who were posting glowing reviews. Shady stuff.

You can tell HR is posting because the reviews are all positive and very sparse on specifics. They also never mention any negatives.

Just like here. Nothing stays posted that is specifically negative.

Or, there's actually people like me that love working here and you're too sad or incompetent to leave and take control of your own miserable life....love the fact you blame HR for positive posts. There's lots of people, including me, that love this company so why don't you leave and then you won't have to winge and moan all the time?

Pembina did the same thing after their layoffs in 2020. Need to maintain that 3-star rating. Imagine being a corporate lemming and signing up to Glassdoor to post fake reviews.... zero shame.

Glassdoor is a joke. They remove posts that companies don't like.
