Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

How big is the will to form a union at this point?

To be completely clear I’m not pro or against unionizing and I wouldn’t like for this thread to turn into that sort of debate. However, one thing is for sure, there was never this much union talk at the company.
Has the will to form a union really grown to a degree that it might actually happen, or are people just talking about it as usual?

I witnessed the union busting in the las Vegas club. They set up a blocked off room behind the bakery and ran their operation within the club itself. If you got caught breaking the smallest of policy rules you were gone. Stand around for 5 seconds. Gone. In a right to work state you can be fired for a number of reasons or no reason at all

Seriously, read the history of Walmart’s union busting. They are relentless. Walmart will never allow unions.

It's illegal for a company to engage in union busting or interfering with the employees' right to organize. Is anybody here suggesting that the company would engage in illegal activity by targeting people who want to bring this to a vote of the rank and file worker??

just talking... the ones who try for it first most likely will lose their jobs. few are willing to sacrifice their own livelyhood so the ones that follow can have a union.
