It doesn't surprise me that competitors offer higher pay and benefits, but it always surprises me when I hear from those who went to competitors how much better pay and benefits they got. There is no doubt that Dell will become an increasingly miserable place because Dell has been ignoring what the competition is doing for a long time?

Who would've thought laptops and peripherals would be so competitive.
Headcount will be reduced.
Sales is the first place.More push online,targets doubled and longer lead times.No need for PIPs.
who leaves for less money?
Getting much better pay elsewhere is almost always the case when anyone chooses to leave any job. HR or management are probably adding these comments here to encourage people to walk away with nothing from Dell when they need to reduce headcount.
