When are we going to get rid of books? We keep getting in huge pallets every week, they don’t sell. The 3rd party that stocks them is horrible.. our backroom associates don’t have time to pull returns and the 3rd party guy said it isn’t his job. Our leads make us merchandisers pull the returns and we can never find them because they are on one of the several pallets in the back cause they were never put out

Books were one of the great things at Sam's. Members were so happy to go thru them and purchased many for themselves, kids, grandkids....there was such a great selection. However, like everything else there, the selection is small, scattered or not even out for sale. Shameful!
We haven't had an Acosta rep since October.
The books and batteries are stocked by one of our merchandisers when there is time.
Our backroom (claims) girl goes through the pallets of books looking for RTVs.
What a waste of everyone's time and of our company's money.
Another worthless/ failed program thought up by our Home Office.
Our Acosta rep sucks! He does NOTHING! Gifts cards aren’t stocked, books are piled high and multiple facings on the floor with pallets untouched in receiving. Dead plants outside because he’s “too busy “ to water them except when it’s raining! Get rid of books and stop sending them!
Backroom is suppose to give the Acosta rep a copy of the RTV report and Acosta is responsible for pulling the returns. And if they aren’t then you need to get with a Coach or the Club Manager. Our Club Manager gets all over Acosta when they aren’t doing their job. It’s awesome.
By Acosta but they tell us they don't have time.and I say we don't either that's what you get paid for. But that does not work.
Are RTV books are supposed to be pulled by the Acosta rep or by the floor merchandisers?
Agree 100%. The 3rd party works our books 1 once a week. We have 8 pallets in steel. It is very hard to do rtvs. We need to either get rid of books or have sams associates do them.
But what did Amazon first start selling? BOOKS
I 100% agree, this has been an ongoing problem since day one at our club. It is even worse now that it has gone to 3rd party. They could cut books down to half of what they're sending now and it would STILL be way too much. Home Office please get a clue and STOP sending so many books!!!!
