Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Time To Leave

Windstream needs to outsource their entire Service Delivery and Account Management to India and the Philippines at this point. There is no point of keeping anything here if the Veterans are leaving in droves.

It'll be a win for Uncle Tony's vision for the overworked and underpayed.

We don't have a NOC. We have a NOC NOC joke.

IVR system was jacked up this morning and wouldn't open tickets. Neither would the overseas staff.

NOC NOC who’s there, no answer let’s close the ticket. I did quit the elite NOC in January as my worst job ever

This might be because of our feckless security group. I know on the IT side they are implementing cyberARK in more and more systems. Problem is their implementation is terrible and often the cyberARK passwords and usernames don't work. When you escalate to security they refuse to respond. It is a nightmare trying to get any systems work done.

Stop complaining and making posts about how it’s time to leave and just leave already. I’ve never seen a group of people SO miserable, but refuse to do anything other than whine. This site is supposed to be about layoff information and instead it’s become a bunch of whiney teenagers anonymously complaining day in and day out. Just freaking leave if you are SO miserable.

This is NOT a case of me defending WS, but rather me telling you to DO SOMETHING if you are THAT miserable.

This is the only place I have ever seen that those most responsible for failure are rewarded.

Make sure you read it. He is the master of deception and is taking in millions on your loss. Stay right there in your cubicle and dream. He has your back.

Why not outsource it?

We have a NOC NOC joke that can't login to network gear, and don't understand how to troubleshoot at all. But we're saving money.
