I feel sorry for everyone who was affected. My personal opinion is that Ford could have done a lot more to prevent these layoffs.

Remember the phrase going postal???? Me too, just saying.
Good thing Henry III left for greener pastures. He might have been impacted.
Nope, they don't care.
Sue Ford out of business for Coup de grâce and put an end for all of this
On the TVM front, HTT sank millions into his old college buddy’s business (Caresoft) to tell FMC engineers that they’re stupid/inefficient when they design to the requirements management established. Just another example of management being the problem, blaming engineers and wasting a bu-t ton of money in the process.
Farley and Buddy Hackett have/had no idea how to manage so they spent hundreds of millions of $ with Boston Consulting to try and figure out how to fix the business and they’re still in this mess - SMDH. Good luck FMC employees!
Yes they could of been avoided but only if they get rid off the root cause - the horrible management. Chuck all the LL3 and LL5, disallow creation of new management positions; then chuck all the people on the friends and family plan. In other words, take out the dead weight on trash day. Then replace the senior leadership with capable leaders. Problem solved.
More to come there is no doubt about that! People who dodged the bullet this time will surely start looking!
Agree 100%. Anyone who laughs at someone getting laid off whether salary/UAW/or Agency is sick in the head.
The direction the company is going is out of the hands of the lower ranks. You have ZERO say in the decision.
You continue to hear from senior management about the problems. yet they are the problem they know what needs to be done but they continue to let it happen
- Complexity out of control
- Buildable combinations
- Focus on TVM vs. Quality.
- The Train Station.
I am sorry but that does not make one very comfortable.
