A push to get everyone back in the building when we have been more productive working virtually. I am convinced we have been more productive virtually instead of sitting in meeting after meeting with the same management types reporting status on something I can’t physically work on because I’m in the meeting. Can actually get work done while waiting to present my ppt or answer questions.
So using or not using your badge every day is supposed to be anonymous?
What a bunch of haters..so boring
at a previous company ~ 15 years ago, there was a more simple solution (not Seagate).
When coming to the office on the weekend, the name would be written on a list at the lobby, so that the fire Depart would know, who to rescue during a fire.
The VP would then get a copy of the list, to know, who works hard!
Yup. Don’t worry. A company like Seagate that is too cheap to replace your laptop from 2015 is probably also too cheap to fund surveillance on you. This company is run like like a stingy old grandpa stuck in the 60’s who still thought giving kids a quarter is a big deal.
I see Seagate investing in electronic turnstile technology in the US...be warned those of us who chose to ignore the ‘get back to work’ message.
