If anybody who is considering joining (since I know we're hiring right now) is reading this, this is a warning aimed directly at you. If you care about having any dignity, walk away before it's too late. Allstate and its management will treat you like you are nothing more than dirt. If you expect to be respected in your workplace, you're considering joining the wrong company. Do yourself a favor and skip Allstate.

Remember that claims is the moment of truth. If that job sucks so does the entire company.
Agree. Just a terrible company. They’ll lie to your face from across state lines. There is no career progression. A few years ago they convinced suckers that playing a video game told them whether you had “skills of the future”. You are now literally just an Outlook address, a tick on a balance sheet, and nothing more. Go somewhere where you can actually meet the person face to face who is trying to sc--w you.
I agree. No class. I was at Esurance for 10 years. And in the end becoming more Allstate. When I left my manager never even mentioned it in our last huddle or had amything to say. Not that I really cared but made me feel I absolutely made the right decision. So glad to leave the toxic environment. Not sure how anyone would continue to want to work for a company so hated in the industry.
Having worked at other carriers and knowing people who worked for both, Allstate is the worst. The grass is greener anywhere really. They underpay you, block pay raises too.
Claims sucks . On my way out to take a job at USAA. I’m tired of working 6 days a week with an out of control workload!
It’s a definite skip. You can do much much better!!
Literally the worst large insurance company
I just left a few months ago. Many from my office left as well. The way I was treated on the way out was even worse than I had anticipated. Move to a better company and job, with way more pay and career opportunity.
It always makes me laugh when I read the posts on this site where everyone is saying that they are leaving. I bet that 90% of these clowns will never leave. Sad that people live in such misery.
This advice is applicable for a few departments, but there are some that are worth considering... People here forget that claims is not the only department at sperate Allstate
