Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Managers

Sam’s gets rid of good engaged managers that questions the higher ups. I have seen it first hand. H.O. doesn’t like to be questioned. Lord help you if you question or challenge an MM or RM. you will be black balled.

Yep. Nailed it. 20plus years with Sams. More than half as a GM. Engagement scores thru the roof. Genuine love for his club, associates and managers. Let go for zero reason. Would not tell him why. Never once had a coaching, write up, warning, etc.

This is true. I challenged my CM, MM, and RM and got coached over a SNG challenge. Still fighting but I’m definitely being blackballed

It's "Legendary Member Service", but in the wrong way. Lack thereof is what's legendary about it. We are the industry leader in lack of service. "Failure By Design" is a better description, and it's just the honest truth. Get something lined up, I am.

Great post. Don't rock the boat, just do as you are told and keep your mouth shut. This also applies to associates who cannot express their true feelings without the threat of termination. I have seen this first hand, very sad. I don't know who these people think they are. They are not management material, they are minions, people with no backbone to help make things right. If Corporate thinks having no help is going to encourage new members and current members to stay, they are sadly mistaken. Member service has gone down the toilet.
