Call work/customer service

What is call work/customer service like with the company? How do you feel about doing that work with UHC compared to places in the past?

As a current employee of an Optum / Unitedhealth care call center, I agree with the above statement 100%. United Healthcare pays very little to it's employees and expects a lot. They offer health insurance plans with very high deductibles. And, along with everything else you must try to double talk older people into buying AARP memberships or they will fire you.

Worst place you will ever work. Compensation is 1 to 2% raise per year but benefit costs go up more than that annually so you loose money every year you work here. Customer service expectations are ridiculous and you are micro managed to death. Turn over rate very very high.
