About four weeks ago, Ukraine government leaders approached General Motors with a special request: It needed big vehicles to move people out of war zones.
GM did not hesitate to say yes, said GM spokesman George Svigos.
"We had an international team start working on it," Svigos said, and the team moved quickly.
