It seems that my manager is most preoccupied with how to effectively disregard employee concerns, and how to belittle those who try to be maximally engaged in every way. I have been working here for years and I know of many people who in some way became targets just because they loved their job so much and tried to bring new and good ideas. Isn’t it ironic that these good ideas are sabotaged by a manager who always says he wants us to be more engaged?

You wouldn’t want to be here either if you were around to watch the LR5 take a fortune five hundred company directly to bankruptcy for complete personal gain. If you were, and don’t care, your no different and part of the American greed problem.
Here’s my idea. Beef up the severance packages for the older folks because they really don’t want to be here. They ki-l you with all the vacation time they get and are at the top of the food chain for wages. They also know how good the company ran before Windstream came to town and will never be on board with change and lip service.
Then leave. Go where you think your ideas will be valued.
The horse has been dead for a long time. The only thing left is the vultures picking the corpse clean.
