Thread regarding Barnes & Noble layoffs

More Barnes & Nobles closing, more employees out of work but don't worry about the Managers

No coincidence that the company's worst Regional Manager just retired. Curious how they've ruined so many people's lives but have no guilt at all and they'l be drinking at the beach. No suprise that all of the upper-management who destroyed the company are leaving with huge retirement packages!

I feel sorry for all of you still working for this awful company.

So many problematic people at this company. Bad culture and to much tolerance for unprofessionalism. So much turmoil for what should otherwise be an easy straightforward job. Toxic.

I knew Daunt wasn’t very smart when he kept all the problem managers & DMs that helped put the company on the ho-e it’s in , still, today. Should’ve offered the backbone of the company ( full timers previously fired) jobs and ditched the real dead weight, drain on the company’s bottom line !

Toxic NC , telling the truth.

Yes, New England was one of the worst. I worked in the corporate office and and we've had lots of complaints and even lawsuits over the years. If you've worked for the company for any length of time, you would've notice the steady turnover with only a few particulars staying and controlling every situtation even through the Daunt transition.

Or the two horrible managers at the Peoria, AZ location? One of them should have been fired in 2016, she is that bad.

I'm so glad someone is calling out these horrible managers. They drove out just about every one of their best workers with sleazy tactics just to save a dime or because they didn't ike them. I now work for a company with a union and there's no way I would put up with the atrocities of a subpar company like Barnes & Noble.

If they didn’t leave, by now, seeing all that was happening, can’t fell sorry for them.
