I'm a team lead I interviewed for MIT position at another club and manager said I really had a good interview know all of a sudden I get a email saying the MIT program is on hold wth they really know how to sc--w you around.

MIT is not on hold at our club we have 3 .
Changes are going to be announced soon . Big meeting this next 26th in NC
All this negativity.. yes they might have had someone in mind. But that person was probably a runner up in the last set of interviews. Keep your head up you got this
- they already had a person in mind
- a higher level manager/someone from HO stepped down and they’re making room for them in their preferred market.
- management restructure is about to happen and they don’t want a 6-month MIT (I seem this one happen actually)
They already knew who they were giving the position to before they interviewed you, sorry to say that’s how this company works. They just had to go through the process of wasting your time and everyone else’s and interview you to make it look legit. Look at it as a blessing!
They probably already had their choice. You could have been a token interview just so they interviewed 3 people. Managers do this all the time. I was a CM. I know how they play the game. They already know who is getting promoted.
you probably did have a good interview. someone else may have had a great interview.
Dodged a bullet. Consider it a blessing.
Consider it a sign that it is not the right thing for you to pursue. M.I.T. is another puppet in training.
