I've worked on and off under a Chow run organization for over 15 years, and also had some direct engagement with her in my various roles. From my experience she is sharp, disciplined, strategic and sees the big picture. Never understood where all the haters come from. Downvote me if you must but IMO she would be a good choice for CEO, and i think we're a better company with her than without her

@1wut+1gjJLP5y -- because as an Asian American woman she is a clear target for the magatards and antivaxxers here. It's what they do and who they are.

Half the work BSIM is doing now belongs to wire techs(which technically belongs to service techs, but that’s another argument for another day). The only thing that $ux worse than being a wire tech(other than management) is having your work given away to a higher paying wage scale.

They don’t do layoffs in ABS-BSIM. Just keep the head count up and add more to it. Workload is a nonfactor. The more people sitting in the office the less lonely they get.

If ABS revenue has been dropping year over year, then wouldn't that make it a target for cost reductions, also known as headcount rationalization? There are no plans at this time to reduce head count within ABS, at least not this year. The only rumors I'm hearing are from this blog!

Com’on people, it’s not about revenue control, it’s about revenue growth. ABS revenue has been dropping year over year. I don’t know about Chow, how great or how terrible she is. We need executives who can growth the business.

Poster: Question: Do you or have you ever worked forAnn Chow? Or are your ‘opinions’ about your seething resentment of her really be about her title— CEO of ATT Business and her span of control over $35B annual revenue…or maybe it’s that MBA from Cornell or that’s she’s a Juilliard trained pianist. It certainly can’t be that she’s a woman making millions and she’s running the show…now could it? And that last name….

Reduction in operating costs are planned for ATT Business. VP level have already set about putting feelers out for retirement and surplus volunteers. Not enough people left last year. They've taken away so many of the retirement benefits that ATT would really need to incentivize people to retire.

As for Chow, she seems like a smart person. She is playing the game. Not much different from anyone else - expect that she is an Asian woman. AND she plays it better than her peers - good for her.
But, I trust her as much as I trust the CEO and the rest of his minions as they gulp down the the gallons of Kool-Aid.

Chow has 30k LinkedIn followers and Stankey and mcelfresh each have 9k followers. Who gonna be next ceo? T needs a new one asap. And a new board. Wall of shame not big enough for all t inductees' portraits.

Several years ago, Business Services had very few people and more work than they could handle in OOR. A majority of the work was outsourced, in the neighborhood of 75%. Now, there are way too many techs and definitely not enough work out there. That’s the deal the company made with the union. Very little outsourcing if any and most, if not all the work stays in-house! It’s a good thing as long as there is work to go around!

Less work. More people. Way to many people in Biz Serv. Hard to complain about that.

Why do so many people talk about Ann Chow exclusively on this forum? Hmm..think about who she is; then think about who they (her critics) are. It’s crystal clear.

Why do so many people talk about this chick? She's near the top of my org but I've never heard anything about her besides on here.. .multiple, multiple times. Any specific grievances you have?
