Does anyone have any insight as to how big layoffs could be? I was surprised to hear rumors of layoffs, given that people keep leaving. Who could be the target groups this time?

Why do people on this board think we are having layoffs? Does anyone have credible information?
I just started working here and am already looking for a new job. Why layoff when people are leaving faster than we can hire them.
Umm just because a company is hiring does NOT mean they can’t lay off. Smh.

There are always layoffs, particularly among those who have been here the longest. The question will be the size of the RIF and in which areas. They have no problem cutting 2 experienced people to replace them with 3 newbies for the same or even lower cost. It creates a brain drain, but they can live with that. Of course the downside of that is quality goes out the window. And you can see that building up over the past several years here. We're not nearly as efficient or well run as we used to be. But hey, the stock price is over $500, so the big investment houses that own all of our stock are happy. And to leadership, that's all that matters.
Who cares. Anthem sucks.

There are no layoffs. We are hiring and we cannot find people who will work here.
