Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

If you want a raise, gotta go elsewhere

When i hear people say that they received as much as 20% higher pay in other companies after leaving here, I feel very naive for believing that the leadership will have enough common sense to provide adequate raises to those who deserve them the most. No more hopes for that happening.

Half of the population here is having a jolly good time here mate - they will not and cannot leave cause they enjoy life here.

55% increase in 6 months. half was a counter offer to stay at DXC in the fall and the rest on leaving a new employer. Know your worth!

I know around 5 ex colleagues who have all got higher salaries after either choosing to leave themselves.. or being pushed via WFR.

2 of them have even doubled their pay!

Some people are hanging on to take their redundancy money.. but if you do the math.. you could probably leave without it and be earning more money in a new job.. and be making more $$$ .. then in around 2 to 3 years you would be better off financially if you had stuck and waited the additional 3 years for a measly WFR payout.

Think I might start applying for jobs and gain some interview experience!

To @1llb+1gfwBRA1 if you can get a 20% increase then leave already, sick of hearing this BULL cr-p! DXC will not give you a huge increase unless your working in AWS, Azure or Google cloud

It's almost a daily article in any news site, recruiting agencies saying they've never seen anything like current situation, shortage of employees, etc. todays article said 20% average increase, with 25% being typical for IT skills. Yet I'm sure Shouty Mike will tell us it's our problem and we should just leave and "I share your pain" Steve will sympathise but do nothing. Which will just fuel the downward spiral they have over seen, which lead to more shouting and more fake sympathy. Simple solution stop lining the exec pockets and reward the staff who actually do the work that the execs take credit for.

I left DXC 18 months ago and it's more like 40% in my case.
It's a good market for employees. Get out there, submit some applications, get some interview experience... good luck! There are better horizons ahead.
