It took me a few weeks after starting my new job to realize that people talking to me are just being friendly and not trying to find ways to push me under the bus. I was shocked when I asked my manager something and he went out of his way to help me. It's a smaller company and I get slightly lower pay than at Ford, but I have zero regrets about leaving!

To the mo--n saying "can't be that great if you're still coming back here"... They're sharing their experience. There's plenty of people, myself included that are looking for other opportunities. I've been told flat out "you cannot move", which is disheartening. Ford is not about allowing growth and isn't about doing what's best for their employees. I've been in contact with several companies and discussing opportunities. It's good to see that someone else is doing good and does not regret their decision.
we come to this site because it's like watching the det lions. we're not gonna play on the det lions, but it's fun to yell at the TV once in a while! "i can't believe they did that! can you believe what they just did!"
I try to talk everybody I possibly can into leaving Ford whenever the opportunity presents itself. I'm handcuffed by the GRP and too close to retirement, so I can't. Yet that is.
Been here for several years. First few years were great. Then all of the sudden several changes came about that shifted focus. I feel like our leaders are distracted by the wrong things. Weighing in on geo-political issues and national policy debates, etc. Let's get back to building great cars and trucks, ICE and electric, and delivering value to our customers. All the rest is just noise.
But yet you’re still coming to this site to obsess over Ford…interesting. Can’t be that great if Ford is still what’s on your mind.
