The company is always being praised for it's winning work force by hiring vets, LBGT etc, but never and never will be for hiring older workers. Managers are so against older workers that have been here for 10 plus years it is a wonder they haven't been sued yet. Only time will tell.

There is a bu-t load of documented age discrimination happening within Windstream. Don't be surprised when age discrimination lawsuits are filed and settled out of court to avoid the publicity
Companies are hurting for employees and our management is happy to throw out as many as they can as fast as they can.
