Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

GET OUT

Get out while you can. If you have other employment options, TAKE IT. This company doesn't care about its employees. You can bust your a-s for them and they will not think twice about letting you go. I am a former employee worked for a company they purchased. The existing employees and management made it difficult to fit in
I have been in the industry over 40 years. This is by far the worst I've worked for.
Say bye to them before they say bye to you. You will eventually be laid off.

I made 52k when I worked at WS. Now 4 years later Im doing ~150k and WS
reps wont stay out if my inbox trying to sell me their garbage services. I told one of them straight that you think you will ever get a single WS service in this company (I manage the entirety of the network infrastructure) after you laid me off without a thought? haha feels good. The first thing I did when I got here was disconnect all of their WS services totaling around 750k a year.

I have to agree. I know some have been 5 years without a raise. Why do they stay?

I second this!! Former WIN employee, left 5 months ago for a much better company and a 22% increase in pay. Friday I was advised I received a 4% raise...again...after only being there 5 months!! GET OUT OF WINDSTREAM BEFORE THEY FORCE YOU OUT! There are so many opportunities available and none of them can be as bad as $hitstream!
