Thread regarding Denbury Resources Inc. layoffs

Another one gone

Just heard another VP left. It seems like this place is having people jump off the ship at a high rate.

Just not the people that need to go.

Give it to HR. She can obliterate another department with the no eye contact, walking in fear someone might ask her something or comment on what a horrible mess HR is.

Good to see IT is on the up and up while EAM is still in the gutter. What can we do to fix this?

Any suggestions?

He does understand the job and equally important he understands our business.

It’s great to speculate on why things are done, but as someone who works with him, I can tell you he certainly earned the promotion and a great improvement from our last IT leader

Wishful thinking by someone who doesn’t work in IT…….”so we all get along great”
All the 3rd floor departments have been made to feel overlooked and irrelevant. Cram them in cubes and have them managed by someone who doesn’t understand the job.

Technically, it’s run by an HR person. Or whatever she is.

My thought is he would have been the choice for the opening so when he wasn’t they had to do something.

Computer science is taught in the engineering department of universities, so we all get along great. Engineering is engineering. Analytical, able to separate processes from emotions, good at cause & effect/inputs & outputs. AB is technical and that's exactly what IT Department does. Way better than being run by an accountant, bus analyst/auditor, HR person, lawyer, etc.

Why on earth would an engineer be made VP and director of the IT department! What an insult to the IT professionals

Probably leaving so he can sell large amounts of stock while oil prices are high.

If that’s your take on it, you don’t know anything about his departure.
