Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

The goal is to overwork you until you leave.

We all hope that things will eventually get better, and that this way of treating employees this way is just a dark faze in company life. However that is not the case anymore. The disgraceful way in which this company treats its employees is a well planned activity directed towards overworking the employee to the ultimate degree. If that is not the writing on the wall I don’t know what is. I think anyone who wishes themselves well should be out hitting the job market and making every effort to get out of this shithole.

The fun part is when they audit your work and criticize you for not being quick enough in serving the insureds, even if you have 2,5 times the workload you are supposed to have. I'm feeling more and more tired, Just some holidays or an illness (I also got covid) is enough for your backlog to skyrocket. Then they let people leave because "any counteroffer has to be approved by Peter Zaffino" bu-----t, and then they can't find replacements without overpaying people far more of what it was needed for a simple pay increase of the previous emploey. I'll continue doing my work at the best of my capabilities but I'm really looking forward to work for a Company that really believe in long term strategy
