The good, hardworking employees are a threat to the do-nothing, huge bonuses and stock optioned managers above them. So cut them. Keep the worker bees that JUST do what they are told when they are told. They are easier to control. We saw this in the layoffs a few weeks ago. A new LL4 cut anyone that was a threat to him. Kept the yes men. The lip service this company gives to their culture change is just that: LIP SERVICE. Nothing ever changes.

No one is safe. Even if you are a high level employee who works hard and fast and efficient. Forward thinking too. Saw too many of those employees get cut.

Expect Layoff in first week of June. Its confirmed, one of my friend who is a manager said that layoffs each quarter are inevitable until Jan 2023

Performance is now rated every 90 days. That should help you in taking the corporate temperature using a rear thermometer.

@lif That is your conclusion? Past evidence shows that no one is safe.

The last poster is ignorant of the layoffs from a few weeks ago. Managers had ZERO input on the cuts. LL4s made the decision on who to cut. Many good performing, even TAs, were let go. Get your facts straight before you berate someone.

If you are nervous then you are a slacker. Every supervisor wants to protect his best people. Better find another job before the inevitable happens.

I hate to ask, but rumors always get me nervous even when I know realistically that it's not likely there's any truth to them.
