Dealing with micromanagment

Unless the idea behind is to motivate employees to leave the company, I really don’t know why so much micromanagement? They create enormous pressure here with their micromanagement. Nowhere else have I experienced managers having so little trust in their employees like here.

Micromanagement is their middle name unless you are one of the pets. 27 years I dealt with it. This past year I was tortured and tormented within an inch of my life, they tried everything they could think of to fire me and finally set me up and said I hung up on a customer. Ruining my career and reputation

It’s the same old story. The upper management can’t be the problem because they are making all the right decisions so it must be the workers who are screwing up so we have to watch them closely to see how they are failing us.

I would love to start dropping names of corrupt IT directors but the list would be too long to fathom. Lets just say they are easily bought by the consulting firms and hardware and software vendors. As an employee, your not really in charge, its already been decided for you. This company has a lot in common with Ukraine right now.

I work in an area where the boss hides outside the room and evesdrops on our conversations morning and night. There have been several times where he actually had ba--s enough to walk in while we were talking quietly and ask, can I be part of the conversation? We told him no, non of his business. He proceeds to tell us conversations on company time ARE his business! We started talking out in the years or even go as far as to leave the reporting area to talk.

This guy also mixes the coolaid he wants everyone to drink. Every time there is a buyout, it's the same speech. Everything is gonna be great! Of course, it only gets worse. You watch, we're gonna get all our old customers back!

He watched all the techs take packages and shakes his head and says he doesn't understand why everyone wants to leave. Even guys with 5-7 years left. The senior man in our area of 7 guys that was 10 two years ago has 10 years. Guys like this will never get it, even when he is packing his own little cardboard box waiting for Uber. The writing is on the wall boys.

“If your still working there, then you have had your head up your a-s for the last 5 years.”
Says the guy hanging out on page for a company he hates. Who hurt you, little buddy?

They want you to leave. That’s the idea. Since there is NO FUTURE with CTL. I would oblige them.
