I feel tma tire techs and leads should be paid more, here's why, we're expected to get cars in and out daily without causing members to wait to long with tire constantly being delivered from online orders which half be people who never come to pick them up and the lead have to make sure he send those back and do audits every month and also Mantain a whole department that consist of tire Techs who hate there job, amagine in the heat are cold putting on tires and stocking tires all day sweating and the first member who complain how long its taking management comes back there and make them hurry up to please that member causing techs to quit and when we short handed the team lead now gotta put on tires and still do all his responsibilities but at the same time he see leads who get paid the same chilling around the building clean talking just having a nice day, while he dirty tired and his department is struggling with members standing around complaint like a set of tires can be put on in 20 minutes, and these constant promotions and management got the nerve to say we want you to sell as many tires as possible, and come back and say we getting a lot of complaint of how long members having to wait on there vehicles....I feel if all that's on anybody plate they should be paid more, no body in tma should make under 20 dollars a hour, it's high stress and dangerous, and take a toll on the body

Member complain because they expect to get tires put on in 20 minutes when the department is busy and complain to management and management want even defend the associates who are moving fast as they can, these member complaints are d-mb I look at mx voices daily I even had a member ask for home office number so they can complain how for they have to walk across the parking lot and the member said they will ask for cart guys to have a golf cart to take member to there cars....wow as if cart guys don't have enough to do

Our bonus was cut way down due to our tma complaints. MX score was awful because of them. Everyone suffers when one department can't do a half decent job.
Our TMA shop is the busiest anywhere. Plenty of work and always being interviewed.
They still have yet to back a vehicle out of their shop where the wheels don't fall off. But hey that is another ticket to up their metrics.
Our TMA lead is a joke! He has someone else do returns because he never remembers how to do them, he’s lazy and is too busy talking to his wife that also works at the club. His tma associates are ALWAYS outside smoking or sitting in their cars, so no, I don’t think they should be paid more
We had an 80 year old installing tires. Can't be that hard. Monkey work.
I agree I did that for 6 months and got out of that tire shop and in the club, I'm sweating bricks and doing cars back to back and members complaining and management come back and have the nerve to say we need to pick it up, I almost quit on the spot
That is one long a-s sentence. Punctuation goes a long way dude.
I work in tma and it's a lot easier than being in the club. You're not running around back and forth dealing with multiple areas and an endless amount of members asking questions. Managers and leads pulling you here and there. I only have 2 tasks out in the bay. Changing tires and an occasional battery. Easy peasy. Wax on. Wax off. Easiest job I've ever had.
I agree they should get paid more, but I don’t like where you said the teamlead had to get dirty 😂 he is the teamlead he needs to work by example next to his associates. You must be the teamlead. If you want your associates to work hard for you then you need to work as hard as them and get your hands dirty just like them. My store all leads busy their as--s especially merchandising lead and no I’m not a lead
Try being a real merch TL. Meaning off load DC or freezer cooler when needed, do the drop list, member service, doing layout changes, zoning, oh yeah you need to oversee club pick up since that under your umbrella too. So could be picking orders or dispensing orders too. All positions have good and bad points.
How hard is it to slap a tire on a car. It takes so much training, that all cars sold come with a spare incase you get a flat. So basically it is assumed that even the crayon eaters amung us can do what you do for a living.
Discount Tire castoffs and unflushables
Lol our tma dept got a raise and make more than 1/2 the store to work on 5 cars a day then take breaks the rest of the time. We have 2 legit workers and about 5 that need canned including their lead. They will have a member waiting and when they are told they pitch a fit. They all have like 15 points too b/c their mngr allows bs.
It's no harder or more important than any other position. Your actually overpaid for a retail job.
Like every department doesn't have its hassles. Even the cafe and maintenance are dangerous jobs. We all deserve to be paid more.
