Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

I think I've been blacklisted by my former manager

I left AIG three years ago on good terms, or so I thought. A great opportunity presented itself for a position I fit perfectly. I applied and heard nothing back. I applied for another position and again, nothing. I see no reason for this other than I might have been blacklisted for some reason. Has this been known to happen?

maybe you just really suck? Ive assessed the talent here after onboarding 3 years ago. Some here are d-mb as rocks. and that's insulting to rocks. Yes people are an org's most valuable asset. but when these assets are negative, only way to get rid of the alligators is to drain the swamp and what them die off or leave. Siyanara!

Maybe the hiring manager disagreed with your assessment of perfectly suited????

You could always call AIG HR and ask if you have a status of "re-hireable". That's one question other companies, which are calling for reference can ask. Therefore you can ask yourself as well. If the answer is yes, you are not on a black list. Unless someone, responsible for hiring knows you specifically. Side Note, Why would you want to go back to AIG? It's honestly not a reputable place to work. Unless you are trying to get specific type of experience and they are offering it and its very short term.

Maybe your manager really liked you, knew you would try something silly and blacklisted you so u didn’t come back….if so, consider yourself lucky

To the poster that thinks they are blacklisted…..I agree with the posts that you should never want to go back.
OR
You saw an “opportunity” to be one of PZs cronies….if you were qualified for that job, someone would have reached out to you and offered the position. Being a PZ cronie is the only opportunity at AIG

It’s not necessarily that you’ve been blacklisted. If you applied online, the application initially went to HR and not your manager. Recruiting at AIG is completely overwhelmed - they are drowning. Each recruiter has like 60 open roles they are managing. Chances are your application never reached your manager.

If you really want to know, ask. Send him/her an email - did you get my application? No response = blacklisted.

if you want to come back to aig you are a complete loser. That is probably why you are blacklisted. No one in their right mind wants to be here.

Lol. You are overthinking. And if you did get blacklisted, then consider yourself lucky because AIG is a sh---y place to work. Why would anyone want to return to shitpool called AIG.
