So why are we going into the office again? Oh right, company “culture” and “collaboration”

How is our business model anything similar to Airbnb? The OP is simply looking for another reason to justify NOT leaving CVX. What we need is to rebuild a culture that attracts talent. We need a re-energized workforce that is fundamentally committed to working the energy sector. We lost loyalty and a sense of job satisfaction when we abandoned our culture and principles. We spend way too much time and energy on chasing DEI metrics instead of actually developing the people and skills necessary for our work force.

the OP must be the dork who was in the CIO townhall this week. he was talking about how working from home saves him from paying high gasoline prices and also minimizes the risk of getting into a car accident. the same dweeb raises his hand every townhall and speaks from his game of thrones chair while advertising how he's got more openings for his SAFe training courses. incredible IT function waste.

Not sure Chevron can compete with AirBnB. Or Motel 6.

To prove yourself to be more than a number. How much would you complain if your job was work from home by employees in another country?
