Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

How happy are you after leaving ConocoPhillips

I have got to say I was a little nervous when ConocoPhillips sold LCGP but after working for Contango it’s the best feeling in the world! COP is a trash company, you don’t realize it until you work for a smaller company. Less management and we don’t over think everything and what if everything. Does anyone else agree?

But for some reason you are back to write on TLO's COP page. . . .maybe you aren't as happy as you think you are

Left with the company split/psx, and (until recently) was really happy with the outcome, but now both companies are poisoned with outsourcing to cr---y MSP's and woke nonsense being more important than...I don't know...maximizing shareholder value.

Leaving was a game changer for my life. It’s like the frog in the warming/boiling water: you have no idea how bad it actually is until you get out.

I can sleep at night and my blood pressure has dropped twenty points. One of the better decisions I have ever made. ConocoPhillips has decided people are throw away assets.

JJ was a tyrannical jerk, so we all had high hopes for the new team. Who could have imagined they would be worse?

My wife and kids started to respect me again, so no regrets leaving. COP only made us move 4 times.

Glad you are happy OP. LCGP was never a good fit for COP. Surprising it took this long to part ways but there was always the issue of the potential reserve write-downs and a desire to maintain a footprint in the Rockies. We overpaid as with all the Burlington Acquisition. Great for Burlington stockholders but not COP. Maybe now LCGP can reach its full potential.

I’m actually at a much larger company now. I won’t disparage COP. It was good while it lasted. I do agree though, that I’m much happier now. Wouldn’t change a thing if I were able to.
