Are any of you cashiers out there being threatened by write ups for not getting plus and credit?

As a cashier, I have been told by members how great I work! Fast, accurate and proficient. What they don't realize is I am actually the worst cashier in the club and because of this I have been placed at the front entrance. I WILL NOT harass the members with credits. I will mention upgrades and renewals and leave it to the member to make their own decisions. I feel speed is what is appreciated most. So that is what I give them. This is the "old school" method I was taught. Guess you can't teach an old-dog-new-tricks.
There are other places in the store to work. So move. Plus, credit, scan n go, that's the front. That's all the front is. That's all the front will ever be.
All you cashiers are just making the, membership representative associate there pay check the more credits and upgrades you cashiers get the more bonus this associate gets! Just letting you all know…
That's your job and your getting paid well to do it! So, stop complaining and earn your salary.
Unfortunately when you are hired as a cashier they tell you from day one you need to get plus’s credits and scan n go so it should not come as a surprise when they expect you to do it.
They can’t afford to lose cashiers, so come to work, don’t call off, try your best to get credit and plus and voice record any threatening conversations about disciplinary action and report it to ethics hotline.

I’ve asked members about scan and go as well as credit, most get mad cause they feel they are being harrassed and are sick of it everytime they come to shop . There has to be a better way to get members the info about credit and scan and go. Cashiers shouldn’t be abused by members cause the company makes us to marketing and well as cashiering
I haven't experienced any write ups so far -just "coaching". I have many days where I don't get any. Now they want 17 credits per day.

Yes. They want scan and go, credit and plus. Members getting upset for being harassed by everyone.
Just tell them asking people to sign up for credits and plus gives you terrible anxiety, when they tell you your in the wrong job, reply, don't you take mental health issues seriously, then ask how to contact human resources at H.O..... they'll never bother you again.
This happens all the time, unless you are a favored person. If you aren't, please find a place to work that values their employees. This place isn't it!

Sales is part of the job. Sadly, even though a lot of it is up to luck, good or bad, you can be written up for not making expected numbers. It has been happening for years. Nothing new. I would make the same objections as always: "I can't MAKE them do it!" But in the end, they'll write you up or they want. If you don't like that idea, you have to find a new line of work.
