Why would EV's (Lightning) be any better quality?

Crown jewel of Ford takes another quality hit. Everything will be perfect when we transition to EV's! Don't drink the Kool-Aid.

Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2021 Ford F-150 models over a sudden transmission shift issue.

The defect: in affected vehicles, the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) for low transmission fluid pressure may falsely activate and cause the transmission to unexpectedly shift into neutral.

The hazards: an unexpected shift into neutral will cause a loss of drive power and increase the risk of a crash.

Ford is not aware of any reports of accidents or injuries related to this condition.

Components: transmission.

Affected vehicles: select 2021 Ford F-150 models built at the Ford Dearborn Truck Plant and Ford Kansas City Assembly Plant between July 28th, 2021, and December 20th, 2021.

@uje+1g7Yy9vk Another software issue in a "software and data wanna be company"? Maybe we should stick with the "hardware building" option.

The company have been saying for years, mainly regarding the DPS6 transmission, that going into neutral is not a "safety" issue because the brakes work. Well, that depends if you need to move out of danger. A transmission that goes into neutral when you are trying to merge into a highway in front of a truck, might not be a mind blowing experience, but for sure would be an underwear changing experience.

"Brian Lamb of Mooresville, North Carolina, wrote: "I had a 2012 Focus that nearly got me run over by an 18 wheeler. I had the problem of seemingly it was in neutral when it was actually in gear." TBH, I don't think driving an F-150 in neutral would make a difference when run over by an 18 wheeler.

Maybe we should focus on fixing our cr-p, instead of "fixing" the world with all the wokeness, and invest the money/effort in quality instead of EVs/Data mining delusions.
