Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

Outsourcing comes with its own challenges

My problem is that almost every company I have applied to has a tendency towards mass outsourcing. There is almost no company that does not do that. On the other hand, I do not intend to stay here to find out that my job will be outsourced. It's a terrible feeling. And chances are that the leadership here will outsource everything that can be outsourced over time.
I just wonder if they are aware of the challenges that come with outsourcing?

Sprint wireless launched outsourced. They literally had people entering in new customer information into spreadsheets because they hadnt built the billing system yet.

Do you really think they care? They relied on an outsourced team for the majority of the sprint migration. It all comes down to what what saves them more money. Shame on whoever was in charge of the migration process/experience.

T-Mobile has both embraced and hated outsourcing over time. Depends upon which member of the SLT want done.
