Anyone heard of rumors as to what is going to happen once the deal with Warner and Discovery closes? Im sure there will be restructuring of workgroups but will there also be layoffs?
Curious as to what others have heard.

What is going to happen? Well, i would plan for at least a 10-15k drop in Mobile subs. I don't know anyone who wants to give AT&T a single dollar after the way they have f--ked us!
I Would think DIRECTV will be back in the crosshairs. T still owns 70% of that business and a complete divesture makes sense to pay down the burdensome debt it owes. DISH seems to be the most logical buyer to preserve a US satellite business.
Kilar gets a change in control severance as outlined in the 2021 proxy.
“If only Elon would’ve bought stake in us.”
Musk only considers innovative companies. T is…
We will become what we use to be before wasting $180B on BS media. A telco provider selling mobility services and fiber. Leadership got a little over their skis with this media cr-p.
Stankey gets a closure bonus.
If only Elon would’ve bought stake in us.
They will lay off the workers they do not need.
First, everyone has to give back their Tech Dev Oscars. Second, someone needs to post the video of that boondoggle to YouTube. Events like this are a sign that layoffs are coming very, very soon.
I expect major changes although I don't have firsthand knowledge other than I know all the open reqs in Business Marketing were canceled and lots of meetings are happening this week. Also the phrase being thrown around is "Company Reset" versus Reorganization and that implies something big. Also we are wildly missing revenue targets which often results in panic and poor short term changes that make no sense.
