Between voluntary move to claims and waiting for a package, I think everyone would rather wait for a package. Is there anyone who has agreed to voluntary move to claims to share the experience?

They are not going to payout severance again like before. They will wait for attrition or move you. Wait if you want but seriously, if you are not happy then GO!! The fact that you are staying somewhere and waiting while unhappy says a lot about you!!
Just curious - from which departments are employees being asked to move to claims? I work in the business/product area and I haven’t heard this (yet). Though, everyone I used to work with from Law & Regulation is gone now.
I assume employees from departments being asked to voluntarily move to claims are also being eyed for layoffs? On my side, they have also been announcing retirements like crazy - Officers and directors. This also gives me the feeling that another round of layoffs is on the horizon.
I’m convinced claims is the ninth circle of He-l. I’m sure it’s taken 10 years off my life.
They are already asking folks to voluntarily move to claims in some areas. Anyone who has a clue is refusing the offer. Sadly those are the areas that will see the next reductions in force and likely without severance packages since they offered other roles.
Don’t do it! I have over 150 pending from not just what’s been assigned to me but also taking in inventory from my teammates that have quit. There’s just not enough bodies in the seats to give claims too. Everyone’s tired of 55-60 hour weeks. Transformative growth backfired . Morale is really low here abs we’re all exhausted.
Don't do it! I moved last year to claims and I would give anything to go back and just ride it out. Claims is a cluster. Everyone is overwhelmed. There are so many people leaving and tons out on disability. There is no training . No one knows what is going on and every department seems to be working against each other. I am shocked anyone stays with Allstate after they have a claim. I don't blame the workers at all. Most are doing the best they can with what they have and what they know. They must cut corners evey way they can to make goals to keep from getting fired.
