I took a position with a starting pay that is higher than what I earn now and I couldn't catch up to if I stayed at DXC for another 10-15 years due to lousy raises. There's really no point in staying here if you're looking to improve your position in any way (wanting a higher pay or a promotion). All of that can only be achieved outside.

I got a big pay rise when I left. Not sure that would have made a difference anyway, I'd have been glad to leave even if the money was less. But the market had paid a lot more in the past 2 years, so I doubt you'd get less. They know they have to pay more than you are on, and will, cos IT skills are hard to come by right now.
