I was told there are multiple covid cases in at least one of the buildings and the cases are not being reported to others who may have come in contact with them. This is beyond irresponsible and puts lives at risk.

Story telling time 🤗
A call today a teammate said they were home because of office exposure. Only reason she knew she was exposed is the guy reached out to those sitting in his cube area to tell them. Kudos to him but it really shouldn't be left up to individual employees to do the right thing.
Management is not reporting it.
They are not informing others.
This is dangerous
Infection rates rising again across US. - 3.30% in NYC.
NYC Mayor is infected. No, it is not allergies.
COVID spreading rapidly in met offices.
Or is it allergies??? Apparently in some offices it is COVID.
Get used to this folks. Not everyone cares about others and most want to believe that it is not COVID.
If it matters to you - work remotely.
Check the pollen count. It's called allergies.
I've noticed some of my colleagues being awfully sniffly while sitting in the office and no mask. Makes you wonder.
Yes. Does not sound good. Good luck with that MetLife.
Good luck with that.
Names are not required, only general, location based, communications surrounding potential exposure.
So no HIPPA violations. Just do the right thing.
HIPAA will prevent the communication you desire. No names will ever be disclosed, unless it's through unofficial sources.
Yes, as adults we can take responsibility for ourselves and respect well being of family, friends, and community through a process that ensures communication and awareness.
That is what is missing here….actual forward looking planning other than free food, beverages and games.
Those who became aware of cases did so by chance , through friends and some might call it gossip.
What about the rest of employees? Exposure needs to be formally communicated by companies requiring RTO.
If RTO is a corporate requirement, communication of workplace exposure becomes a social responsibility of said corporation.
The issue and concern here is lack of awareness for people, who even if vaccinated, are still high risk.
Unnecessary and risky exposures can be avoided through proper communication.
It is a social responsibility of the corporation.
It's not being reported, yet people are aware. What more do you want? For SLT to take your temperature? If you're aware, then what's the issue? Take some responsibility for yourself.
Employee Relations works for Management-- Not You.
People need to start contacting employee relations about this. The fact that people are being exposed at the workplace and not being told is irresponsible and dangerous.
Don't worry, they will come up with a process once someone important gets sick. You don't fu----g matter. Never forget that. You. Don't. Matter.
My coworker was really tired w/ a headache. Left work early. Stayed home the next day and then reports he’s positive. He notified his manager who told him to stay home but no one notified me. If I wasn’t friends with him I would have never known. There needs to be some contact notification process. I’m waiting for a test myself now and isolating from family. I’ll be back in the office tomorrow tho.
Problem is that people are not going to use all of their Flex Days & PTO every time they test positive. So expect to see folks back in office while they are still symptomatic.
This is not a good situation that is unfolding.
The wellbeing of associates is being ignored.
3 people in my building, that I spoke with, tested positive. Back to work the next week and they still have “sick” symptoms. What the heck! I’m vaccinated but come on.
I mean if y'all would have got vaccinated, there probably wouldn't be a spike. What do you expect now that we're smashing a bunch of unvaxxed together at the same time as BA2 is running rampant? Hate to say it, but you made a choice not to get vaxxed.
I speak for the whole company when I say we need a hard 6 month lockdown, none of this essential work or exercise cr-p from last time. Masks to be worn at all times, even at home. Strictly enforced. We can then begin a gradual easing but letting folks out a year after booster!
Propaganda
Go ahead and get vaccinated, vaccination saves lives, according to experts and fact checkers - if vaccination does not work, go ahead and report it, see where that gets you.
