Competence has no bearing on tenure. Cronyism rules the day. Sexism, misogyny and racism underlay the cronyism and incompetence. See other post

Life after SWN is better than you think… SWN has people brainwashed to think that Swn is the only game in town and that they are such a great company to work for…. They were at one time, until the likes of Clay Carrol, John Kelly, and the rest of the dip$h1t entourage came in and flipped everything upside down. Everyone knows the circus Swn is… vendors, the community, other gas companies… Listen to your gut and make your move, you’ll be glad you did when you look back and realized the years you wasted working for people that wouldn’t know leadership skills if it fell out of the sky, landed on their faces, and wiggled.
